Swim Camp 2026
Swim camp success
For the first time since 2019, 20 CSC swimmers attended an intensive swimming training camp in Spain over October half term.
Swimmers trained for 4 hours per day, racking up a total of 24 hours in the pool, plus over 10KM of walking per day to get to and from the 50m Olympic size outdoor pool on the outskirts of Torremolinos. Many sessions started before sunrise, with swimmers able to see the sun come up over the Mediterranean sea. They also took part in additional land training sessions, focused on core strength, flexibility and power. They had the opportunity for some fun too, with team games like rounders and basketball, and a trip down to the beach (where, of course, they played more team games!). The week was incredibly hard, but the swimmers gave it their absolute all, and are looking forward to seeing the benefits in their upcoming events, with some competing the day after we returned! The Coalville Swimmers taking part in the camp were - Will Campbell, Edward Rosnovat, Reuben Talbot, Oli Goodwin, Finley Fowler, George Coleman, Izzy Stevens, Mille Goldfinch, India Sawyer, Ava Webb, Jessica Currie, Nick Lunn, Luke Moran, Finley Hill, Jessica Moran, Rochelle Moore, Tom Brook, Oliver Rist, Morgan Sawyer and Louis Currie.
