Coalville Swimming Club has been a cornerstone of competitive swimming in North West Leicestershire since its establishment in 1947. With a rich history spanning over 75 years, we are proud to be one of the region's leading clubs, dedicated to nurturing swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote and participate in competitive swimming, providing every swimmer with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where athletes can thrive both in and out of the pool.
Training Venues
We currently train at several venues across the region, including:
•Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre
•The Castle Rock School
•Ibstock Leisure Complex
•Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido
•Our training sessions are structured to cater to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring that each swimmer receives the appropriate guidance and support.
Coaching and Support
Our dedicated team of qualified coaches and volunteers is committed to delivering high-quality training programs. From junior swimmers to senior masters, we provide tailored coaching that emphasizes technique, endurance, and competitive readiness. Our volunteers, including committee members, Team Managers, Officials and many more, play a vital role in the smooth operation of the club
Competitive Opportunities
Coalville Swimming Club offers a range of competitive opportunities, from local galas to national championships. We host the annual Coalville Summer Solstice Open Meet and participate in various competitions throughout the year, both internally and externally. Our swimmers are encouraged to compete in events that match their skill levels, fostering growth and achievement.
